This salmon season a Skookum 53 sailing fishing boat berthed at Fisherman's Wharf for a few days. The boat was designed and built as a sailing fishing boat, although there is a cruising version of the boat. The boat looks well built, but it's relativly heavy, slow and the traditional ketch rigging can be a chore to handle. Having said that, Skookum 53s are very good boats and used ones can be bought for around $200,000. Check it out here.
